Membership Preamble
We, the members of the State of New York Police Juvenile
Officers Association, bind ourselves together under divine guidance to establish
these by-laws to the betterment of humanity through untied action and the
fostering of the best practices and procedures in the handling of juveniles
and intervening in the lives of those committing offenses against them.
1. Active Members
Active membership in this Association shall be limited to persons who are bona fide Police Officers as defined in the New York State Criminal Procedure Law. Article 1, Section 1.20 Subdivision 34(a) (b) (c) (d) (e) assigned full or part-time to work specifically with juveniles and who subscribe to the objectives and purposes of this Association.
2. Associate Members
Associate Membership shall be open to persons in allied fields of delinquency prevention and all other persons who subscribe to the objective and purposes of this Association. Associate Members shall have the rights and privileges of Active Members except the right to vote and hold office in the Association.

New member or renewal applications are to be submitted with check for appropriate amount, payable to SNYPJOA or Agency Voucher.
Dues are
payable annually, no later than January 31st of each year.
New Member:
$50.00
Renewal: $30.00 (must be paid member from the year prior)
