Vice Presidents Corner:
“The State of New York Police Juvenile Officers Association's mission is to provide high-quality training and certification to law enforcement professionals, including school resource officers and community resource officers, to effectively address the needs of New York's youth and ensure safer communities for all. I believe that protecting children is a shared responsibility—one that requires collaboration between families, schools, law enforcement, and the community at large. Our role extends far beyond making arrests; it is about building trust, cultivating relationships, and serving as positive role models for students. By strengthening law enforcement’s approach to youth in conflict situations, we not only reduce risks but also create lasting partnerships between officers and young people—partnerships that are essential to ensuring safety, trust, and opportunity across our state.”
